Mark 16:15 Think about this.....how many people in your church are directly from the immediate neighborhood surrounding your church? How many of the people attending your church live within 1 mile of your church? How many new converts have you had this year? How many of those are commited to Christ and are being discipled? How many new families have joined your church in the last year? If the answer to these questions are 0 or in single digits I hope it stirs your soul to know more can be done! What program does your church have to help reap the harvest in your back yard? The harvest is ripe! It's so ripe it's falling off the vines! The problem is, "The Church" is not going out to reap the harvest of souls! The souls that are ripe are rotting on the ground. The Jesus said, "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." John 4:35. The last words of Jesus were "Go". Right before he ascended into heaven he told his disciples "Go"! Think of this last statement as his last will and testiment. Typically when someone dies the first thing the family does, is begin to execute the last will and testiment of the deceased! Here we have our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ commanding us to "Go" and this is usually the last ministry that is started in the church. As "The Church", typically the last thing we do is "Go"! Most churches set up there music programs, women's & men's ministries, music ministries, cantatas, Christmas plays etc before they ever even think about REACHing out to the community. Although these programs can be an outreach tool and are needed for the church body, we tend to focus on programs inside the church and never focus on the community surrounding the church. After the Holy Ghost filled the 120 in the upper room the first thing they did was "Go"! The following ideas are what God has given me to help churches begin REACHing out to our families, friends, community and the world! God has called me to help start practical outreach ministies inside of churches. With consistant effort and the power of the Holy Spirit you will see results. Contact me.
